Websites for the fire service, built by one of your own.

Raptor Design Co. builds custom websites and brand identities for fire departments, districts, and public safety organizations. Who This Is For

Built for the fire service first.

Most department websites are either a decade old, buried inside a city portal, or run by whoever drew the short straw. Raptor exists to fix that.

Fire Departments & Districts

Career, volunteer, or combination. Recruitment pages, public information, news and alerts, board minutes, ISO/accreditation info — organized the way departments actually work.

Unions & IAFF Locals

Member-facing sites for locals: news, events, negotiations updates, and a public face that represents the membership professionally.

Fire Service Businesses

Training companies, rescue equipment vendors, consultants, and side businesses run by firefighters. If you serve the fire service, this shop speaks your language.

Services

Web design and branding. Done right, done for you.

Every site is 100% custom — no templates, no page builders, no WordPress maintenance headaches. Built by hand, managed by hand.

Fully Managed Sites

You never touch code, hosting, or updates — that's the whole point. Send changes over, they get handled. Need to post your own news? A custom admin panel can be built for exactly that.

  • Hosting, SSL & security handled
  • Content updates done for you
  • Optional admin panel for news & alerts
  • Direct line to the builder — no tickets
How It Works

One builder. Zero middlemen. Nothing for you to maintain.

This isn't a "here's your WordPress login, good luck" operation. Every Raptor site is custom-coded and fully managed — which means it stays fast, secure, and current without anyone at your department becoming the accidental webmaster.

01

Updates go through one person

Email or text a change — new roster, updated hours, an event — and it gets done. No ticket queues, no offshore support.

02

Optional admin panel, built to fit

If your department wants to post its own news, alerts, or events, a simple custom admin panel gets built for your site — just the controls you need, nothing you don't.

03

One plan covers everything

A single monthly maintenance plan handles hosting, security, backups, and updates. Your money pays a person who knows your site — not a stack of page-builder subscriptions and plugin licenses that break each other.

// how updates work
dept> "Can you add the new hire
to the roster page?"
raptor> done. live in 20 min.

// no tickets. no queues.
// no "have you tried clearing
// your cache?"
The entire support workflow
Process

No mystery. Here's exactly how it works.

Most projects go from first conversation to launch in four to six weeks.

01

Discovery

A straight conversation about your department, your community, and what the site needs to do. You get a firm, custom quote — no hourly meter.

Week 1
02

Design

You see real designs of your actual site before anything gets built. We revise together until command staff and membership are both happy.

Weeks 1–2
03

Build

The approved design gets custom-coded, tested on real devices, and staged on a private preview link so you can watch it come together.

Weeks 3–4
04

Launch & Manage

Domain connected, site live, and from that point on it's managed for you. Changes, updates, and fixes — handled.

Weeks 5–6
Pricing

Every project is quoted custom. Because every department is different.

A three-station combination department, a 40-member volunteer company, and an IAFF local don't need the same website — so they shouldn't get the same price. Tell Raptor what you need, and you'll get a firm, itemized quote before any work starts.

Request a Quote
  • Fixed quote up frontThe number you approve is the number you pay. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices.
  • Scoped to your budgetMunicipal budget cycle? Fundraising-dependent? The scope gets built around what's realistic for you.
  • Itemized and board-readyQuotes are written so they can go straight into a council packet or board meeting.
About

Twenty years on the job. Twenty behind a design bench.

Raptor Design Co. is run by a 20-year career firefighter/paramedic in Greer, South Carolina, with 20 years of design and web work behind him. The crossed pike poles in the badge aren't a design gimmick — they're the day job.

That matters when you're a department shopping for a website. An outside agency has to be taught what a shift schedule is, why recruitment pages matter, what your community actually looks for after a structure fire makes the news. Raptor already knows — because Raptor's been on the truck.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Every project is quoted custom based on scope — a five-page department site and a full district site with recruitment, news, and an admin panel are very different builds. What's guaranteed: the quote is fixed, itemized, and delivered before any work starts. No hourly billing.

By default, updates go through Raptor — send a change over and it gets handled, usually same-day. If your department wants to post its own news, events, or alerts, a custom admin panel can be built for your site with exactly the controls you need. Either way, nobody at your department becomes the accidental IT guy.

No. Every site is custom-designed and custom-coded — no templates, no page builders, no plugin roulette. That's why the sites load fast and don't break. The monthly maintenance plan pays for a person who knows your site inside and out, not a pile of third-party platform fees.

The fire service is the focus — departments, districts, EMS agencies, IAFF locals, and businesses that serve them. That said, if you've got a project outside that lane and you like how this shop works, reach out. Worst case is an honest "not a fit."

Not at all. Everything — discovery, design reviews, launch — can be handled remotely, and it works just as well for a department in Oregon as one in the Upstate. SC departments get the option of an in-person visit.

Raptor Design Co. is a new shop standing on twenty years of design work — the portfolio under this name is being built right now. The first departments through the door get founding-client pricing and a featured case study, because those projects become the proof.

One person — the same firefighter/paramedic who answers your emails, designs your site, writes the code, and manages it after launch. No account managers, no subcontractors, no hand-offs.
